When it was released in 2005. the RM 009 Felipe Massa was the lightest tourbillon watch ever manufactured with a weight of 29 grams without its strap. It featured two world premieres which included an ALUSIC® case and a skeletal movement made from aluminium-lithium.
With a case made from resilient. ultra-light ALUSIC®. which is typically used in the construction of satellites. we sought to prove that a watch could be equally valuable even though it was only 29 grams. We embraced industrial materials for their hidden beauty. showcasing them in new and creative ways since they couldn't be polished or brushed. This watch represented a challenge to prevailing perceptions of value driven by marketing campaigns.
