Patek Philippe has introduced a new. high-accuracy manually-wound movement that is capable of measuring and displaying 1/10th of a second. The CH 29-535 PS caliber. which was entirely designed and produced in Patek Philippe's workshops. is the first classically built chronograph movement from the brand and has six patents (2009). This movement has been specifically developed to meet the challenge of maintaining high levels of accuracy throughout the entire timekeeping process.

The new movement is specially designed to measure 1/10th of a second with the help of an additional chronograph mechanism. controlled by a monopusher chronograph with two central hands. each powered by a different mechanism. To make reading the measured time effortless. the movement developers have implemented a patented system of concentric seconds and fractions of a second indications. Additionally. to achieve the goals of efficiency. reliability. and precision. Patek Philippe has for the first time integrated its high-tech Oscillomax® regulating organ in the current collection. This mechanism was developed by the brand's technical department which is responsible for the innovations in the 2011 "Advanced Research" series (17 patents).
